Police have arrested a teenager following a pursuit through the western suburbs last night, according to SA Police.
Just after 10.30pm, Sunday 31 July, patrols spotted a stolen silver CX9 at Taperoo they attempted to stop the vehicle but the driver refused to stop and a pursuit commenced. PolAir (police helicopter) assisted with the pursuit throughout several suburbs including Seaton, West Beach and Camden Park before the car travelled through the city.
Eventually the vehicle was dumped at Birkenhead, police patrols quickly set up cordons and with the assistance of police dog a teenager was located close by.
A 14-year-old boy from Athol Park was arrested and charged with illegal use. He was bailed to appear in the Port Adelaide Youth Court on 25 August.
Inquiries are continuing into other people possibly in the vehicle.
