Teenager Charged Over Break And Enter At Kempsey

A teenager has been charged over an alleged break and enter on the Mid North Coast.

About 6.20pm on Friday 4 July 2025, police were called to a house on Verge Street, Kempsey, following reports of a break and enter.

Officers attached to Mid North Coast Police District attended and were told a male was seen inside the house.

No injuries were reported.

Police established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Following inquiries, about 6.50am today (Tuesday 8 July 2025), police arrested a 14-year-old boy at an address in Greenhill.

He was taken to Kempsey Police Station, where he was charged with aggravated break and enter with intent - knowing person there and breach of bail.

He was refused bail to appear before a children's court today (Tuesday 8 July 2025).
