Teenager Charged Over Fatal Crash - Willmot

A teenager has been charged over a fatal crash in Sydney's west last year.

Shortly after midday on Wednesday 30 April 2025, emergency services responded to reports of a head on crash between a black Holden Cruze sedan and a blue Suzuki Swift along Palmyra Avenue, Willmot.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the female driver of the Holden - who was 17 at the time and the holder of a P1 drivers' licence - for minor injuries before she was taken to Westmead Children's Hospital for assessment.

The driver of the Suzuki - a 72-year-old woman - died prior to the arrival of emergency services.

Officers from the Crash Investigation Unit attended the scene and commenced an investigation.

Following extensive inquiries, the teenager was arrested at Penrith Police Station on Saturday (21 February 2026) where she was charged with dangerous driving occasioning death-drive manner dangerous, negligent driving (occasioning death) and not keep left of dividing line-not class B/C vehicle.

She was granted conditional bail to appear at a children's court on Monday 16 March 2026.

Her driver's licence has been suspended.
