Teenager Charged Over Firearms Offences - Dundas

A teenage boy will face court charged with alleged firearms offences in Sydney's northwest today.

About 2am (Sunday 6 July 2025), officers attached to Ryde Police Area Command were called to a park in Dundas Valley, following reports of a number of youths in the park – one possibly armed with a firearm.

Police attended; however, the youths allegedly left the location and continued to a home on Moffatts Drive, Dundas Valley.

The four youths allegedly entered the rear of the home and police established a perimeter around the premises.

A police operation ensued, with assistance provided by the Tactical Operations Unit, Public Order and Riot Squad, Traffic and Highway Patrol Command, Dog Unit and PolAir.

About 6.25am, police executed a search warrant at the home and located three 16-year-old boys and a 17-year-old boy in the home with what appeared to be an imitation firearm, which was seized.

A 16-year-old boy was arrested and taken to Gladesville Police Station and charged with possess unauthorised pistol.

He was given conditional bail to appear before a children's court on Monday 14 July 2025
