Teenager dies after crash - Greystanes

A teenager has died following a single-vehicle crash in Sydney's west today.

About 10am (Saturday 29 April 2023), emergency services were called to Gipps Road near Merrylands Road, Greystanes, after reports a utility had crashed into a telegraph pole.

The occupant of the vehicle was treated by members of the public and NSW Ambulance paramedics; however, died at the scene.

He is yet to formally identified but is believed to be aged 17.

Officers from Cumberland Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
