Teenager makes false report in South West Rocks

A teenager will be dealt with under the Young Offenders Act after making a false report of robbery to police last week, NSW Police say.

The 17-year-old girl told police she was approached by an unknown male who allegedly pushed her to the ground before taking cash about 1.30am on Thursday 22 June 2017 in South West Rocks.


Police from Mid North Coast Local Area Command commenced an investigation into the incident.

Following inquiries, police were able to establish a false report had been made and are dealing with the teenager under the Young Offenders Act.
