Two teenage boys will face court after a pursuit in the state's north last night.
About 10pm yesterday (Thursday 13 November 2025), officers attached to Newcastle City Police District were patrolling along Hassell Street, Hamilton, when they attempted to stop a white Isuzu MUX.
Checks revealed the vehicle was reported stolen from a home in Cameron Park on Wednesday 12 November 2025.
When the SUV failed to stop, a pursuit was initiated.
The pursuit continued through Hamilton, before coming to a stop in Hassell Street, in a parking lot. The four occupants left the scene on foot.
A short time later, police arrested two boys – aged 14 and 15 – nearby and seized the vehicle for forensic testing.
The teens were taken to Newcastle Police Station where the older boy was charged with engage police pursuit, and breach of bail.
The younger boy was charged with be carried in conveyance taken without consent of owner, and breach of bail.
The were both bail refused to appear at a children's court today (Friday 14 November 2025).
