Teens arrested following unruly party in Werribee

Wyndham Crime Investigation Unit detectives have made four further arrests following an unruly party in Werribee last year, Victoria Police say.

Police attended a party at an Attunga Grove address in Werribee but were forced to retreat when they were pelted with rocks on Wednesday, 20 December, 2017.

A number of resources were called to the address, including the Public Order Response Team and the Critical Incident Response Team.

The party goers were dispersed without further incident.

One policeman sustained a minor elbow injury during the incident.

Detectives previously charged a 15-year-old Kurunjang boy with aggravated burglary, criminal damage and armed robbery.

He is also expected to be charged in relation to the riot and has been remanded to appear at a children’s court at a later date.

A 16-year-old Tarneit boy has been charged with criminal damage and assault and has been bailed to appear at a children’s court at a later date.

Three other Tarneit boys, aged in their teens, have been interviewed and released pending further enquiry.

The home where the party was held was extensively damaged.

Police continue to investigate the criminal damage to the home and anticipate making further arrests while the investigation takes place.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
