Teens Charged After Doonside Chase

Two teenagers have been charged following a pursuit in Sydney's west yesterday afternoon.

About 5.25pm (Friday 4 July 2025), officers attached to Blacktown Police Area Command attempted to stop an allegedly stolen Volkswagen Tiguan on Valeria Street, Toongabbie.

When the vehicle failed to stop, a pursuit was initiated.

The pursuit continued through Toongabbie, Blacktown, Kings Park, and Doonside, where the vehicle entered Doonside Crescent and came to a stop.

Three occupants exited the vehicle and ran from police.

After a short foot pursuit, two boys – aged 14 and 17– were arrested nearby and taken to Blacktown Police Station.

The older boy was charged with the following offences,

- be carried in conveyance taken without consent of owner (three counts),

- aggravated break and enter & commit serious indictable offence-people there (two counts),

- special aggravated break and enter & commit serious indictable offence-wound,

- aggravated break and enter dwelling etc in company intend steal less than or equal to $60K,

- robbery in company.

He was refused bail to appear before a children's court today (Saturday 5 July 2025).

Police will allege in court the 17-year-old boy was involved in break and enters at Blacktown, Wentworthville, Seven Hills, and North Parramatta last month.

The younger boy was charged with be carried in conveyance taken without consent of owner and granted strict conditional bail to appear before a children's court on Friday 15 August 2025.

Inquiries under Strike Force Sweetenham continue.
