Teens Charged by Strike Force for Break-Ins

Two teenage boys have been charged by Strike Force Sweetenham after multiple break and enters across the state.

Shortly after 11.15pm Monday 8 December 2025, officers from North Shore Police Area Command were called to Whaling Road, North Sydney, following reports a bronze Land Rover Defender was stolen.

A crime scene was established, and police commenced an investigation into the incident.

About 12.00am on Thursday 11 December 2025, officers from Oxley Police District were called to a home at Morilla Street, Hillvue, near Tamworth, where a white 2017 Kia Sorento was stolen from the driveway.

The owner told police the keys to the vehicle had been stolen from the kitchen area while he was inside the house.

A crime scene was established, and police commenced an investigation into the incident.

The vehicle was later recovered by police around 12.45pm on Gas Street, Singleton. The vehicle has been seized for fingerprint analysis.

About 2am today (Friday 12 December 2025), officers from Eastern Beaches Police Area Command were called to a home in Paton Street, Kingsford, following reports a white Volvo sedan had been stolen.

Police will allege in court, the two boys entered a service station on Bunnerong Road, Maroubra, and used a bank card to make a purchase.

Following a search of the nearby area, both boys – aged 13 and 14 – were arrested by police nearby before being taken to Maroubra Police Station.

The 13-year-old boy was charged with:

  • Aggravated break and enter and commit serious indictable offence-people there (x2)
  • Aggravated B&E commit serious indictable offence
  • Drive conveyance taken without consent of owner (x4)
  • Enter building/land with intent commit indictable offence
  • Aggravated enter dwelling with intent in company to steal (x2)
  • Dishonestly obtain financial advantage etc by deception
  • Be carried in conveyance taken without consent of owner
  • Breach of bail

He was bail refused to appear before a Children's Court today (Friday 12 December 2025).

The 14-year-old boy was charged with aggravated enter dwelling with intent in company to steal, aggravated B&E commit serious indictable offence, and be carried in conveyance taken w/o consent of owner. He was granted strict conditional bail to appear before a Children's Court on Monday 19 January 2026.
