Teens Charged in Burwood Robbery, Stabbing

A further four teenagers have been charged following an alleged robbery at a convenience store in Sydney's south west yesterday.

About 2.20am yesterday (Thursday 20 November 2025), emergency services were called to a convenience store on Burwood Road, Burwood, following reports of a stabbing.

On arrival, officers attached to Burwood Police Area Command were told several teenage boys entered the shop and allegedly attempted to steal items.

When a staff member – a 28-year-old man ­– intervened, he was allegedly stabbed by one of the boys.

The man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before he was taken to hospital in a critical condition.

He remains in hospital in a critical but stable condition.

Police established a crime scene and commenced and investigation into the incident.

About 2pm yesterday (Thursday 20 November 2025), officers attached to Blacktown Police Area Command arrested two boys, aged 13 and 16, and a 15-year-old girl at Blacktown Train Station.

They were taken to Blacktown Police Station where they were all charged with robbery in company and participate criminal group contribute criminal activity.

About 5.45pm yesterday (Thursday 20 November 2025), officers arrested a 14-year-old boy at Blacktown Railway Station.

He was also taken to Blacktown Police Station where he was charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, robbery armed with offensive weapon cause wounding/grievous bodily harm, and participate criminal group contribute criminal activity.

All four were refused bail to appear before a children's court today (Friday 21 November 2025).
