Two teenagers have been charged following an alleged aggravated break and enter in the state's Orana region yesterday.
Officers attached to Orana Mid Western Police District were called to a home on Lakeside Circuit, Dubbo, about 3.15am yesterday (Sunday 3 May 2026), with reports of a break and enter.
Police arrived shortly after, and following inquiries, located two 14-year-old boys on Lakeside Circuit.
During a search of the teenagers, officers located property alleged to be stolen including car keys, building keys, a garage door opener, multiple credit and debit cards, cash, and electronic devices.
Police will allege that some of the property had been obtained during a theft from a motor vehicle on Grangewood Drive, Dubbo, earlier the same day.
Both teens were arrested and taken to Dubbo Police Station, where one of the boys was charged with aggravated break and enter dwelling etc in company, larceny, goods in personal custody suspected being stolen (not motor vehicle), and breach of bail.
He was refused bail to appear before a children's court yesterday (Sunday 3 May 2026), where he was granted conditional bail to face a children's court on Friday 8 May 2026.
The second boy was issued a Youth Caution.
