Telephone outage affecting emergency calls, South Australia

Police have been advised that some communities in the north of the State are currently unable to access Telstra services and therefore cannot contact emergency services on Triple Zero (000).

The communities affected are Booborowie, Burra, Copley, Gidgealpa, Hallet, Leigh Creek, Marree, Nepabunna and Yeelanna.

Anyone requiring medical assistance but are not able to call Triple Zero (000) are asked to attend their nearest hospital.

If you require other emergency services, please attend your nearest emergency service facility (police or fire station).

Stay tuned to your local radio station using a battery powered radio in your home or vehicle.
