The Kempsey Library will be closed from Monday 28 March 2022, for the final push to complete the refurbishment before it reopens on 4 April 2022.
During the temporary closure customers can borrow from the catalogue or renew online; return books via the returns shute and collect any reserves from Council's Customer Service centre between 9am and 4.30pm.
Walls dividing old and new will come down, carpet and furniture will be installed, and the shelving rebuilt. The temporary closure will allow for books and resources to be reinstated and get the library ready to start a new chapter in its 40 year history. It reopens Monday 4 April at 10am.
