Temporary closure of NSW Rail Museum due to high bushfire danger

Transport Heritage NSW

Due to the unfolding bushfire situation in the Wollondilly Shire region, the NSW Rail Museum will be temporarily closed from Saturday 7 to Tuesday 10 December.

"We made the decision to temporarily close the museum in the interest of safety for our customers and that of our volunteers and staff," said Transport Heritage NSW CEO, Andrew Moritz.

Transport Heritage NSW has also taken steps to protect the NSW Rail Museum and its invaluable collection.

"We are working to ensure the protection and if necessary, relocation of various items of heritage rolling stock if and when an evacuation is recommended by local authorities."

Further updates will be provided as the situation progresses on the NSW Rail Museum website and social media channels.
