The Great Victorian Rail Trail between Ridds Road and Baynes Road, Cathkin will be closed from 12.00 noon to 5.30 pm on Monday 8 September.
This temporary closure is required to allow for the safe installation of fencing, ahead of the introduction of goats that will be used to manage vegetation along this section of the trail.
The goats will remain on-site for approximately 10 weeks. They will be securely contained behind fencing and moved progressively along the trail as they complete their grazing. No further trail closures are expected during this period.
