Temporary Service Interruptions: Bayside

Bayside Council is preparing for temporary service interruptions over the next few weeks as the number of local active COVID-19 cases continues to rise.

Many Council staff and their families have either been close contacts or have COVID-19 and the current numbers are expected to increase in coming weeks.

Our regular maintenance schedules are already impacted with delays occurring in mowing our parks and gardens and the collection of kerb side cleans.

Staff shortages are also being experienced in our Customer Service areas including Libraries, Children's Services, Public Pools, as well as our Waste and Resource Recovery teams.

Council is doing everything possible to keep all services operating, prioritising essential services, and moving staff around where possible to cover shifts and shortfalls.

Due to the nature of COVID-19 transmission and changing Government regulations there may be periods where face-to-face services may be closed or cancelled with or without notice.

We will continue to keep the community informed through social media (Facebook and Instagram) and at www.bayside.nsw.gov.au

We encourage you to use Council's 24/7 online services where possible, or call our Customer Service Centre on 1300 581 299 between 8:30am and 4:00pm Monday to Friday.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
