Temporary Works To Reopen Fennell Crescent, Blackalls Park

Lake Macquarie City Council

Fennell Crescent in Blackalls Park has been closed since late July due to a collapsed culvert. Council acknowledges the inconvenience this has caused and thanks the community for its patience.

Temporary works are scheduled for completion between 20-25 October, weather permitting, to reopen the road. The works are expected to take 1–2 days to complete.

Once reopened, the road will have a 5-tonne load limit in place over the culvert. Signage will be installed to advise road users of the restriction. Heavy vehicles will need to use the alternative route via Railway Parade.

The culvert will be fully replaced as part of broader road rehabilitation works planned for Fennel Crescent.
