Ten men arrested over fraudulent builders' licences

Fraud and Extortion Squad detectives have arrested 10 men this week following an investigation into alleged fraud involving fraudulent builders’ licences, Victoria Police say.

Detectives executed a number of warrants at eight business addresses, 13 residential addresses across Melbourne and a Sydney address over the past week.

The offences are alleged to have occurred throughout Victoria between 2013 and 2015.

Ten men were arrested and their details are –

57-year-old from Eden Park

70-year-old from Coolaroo

59-year-old from Yarra Glen

41-year-old from Ivanhoe

40-year-old from Keilor

43-year-old from Strathmore

46-year-old from Melton

54-year-old from Werribee

55-year-old Gisborne

45-year-old from Ascot Vale

They have all been released pending further enquiries and the investigation remains ongoing.

Police have been liaising with a number of other agencies in relation to the investigation including the Victorian Building Authority and other policing jurisdictions.
