Minister for Tourism and Hospitality and Minister for Racing, Marie-Clare Boothby said that St Patrick's Day offered a fantastic opportunity to support the Territory's pubs, clubs, and racing venues.

"The Territory's Irish community is active, vibrant, and a cornerstone of our hospitality industry. And nowhere is that more visible than on St Patrick's Day."

"Whether you hit the town for drink at one of our pubs or bars, or hit the track and try your luck at a St Paddy's Day race, there are so many different ways to celebrate this week."

President of the NT Chamber of Commerce, Natalie Bell, said that the Chamber was encouraging Territorians to support local hospitality venues and retailers.

"Territory businesses are the backbone of our community, and the last couple of weeks have shown that they are incredibly resilient."

"Now is a great time for locals to get out and get behind small and family businesses. Whether it's grabbing a coffee at your local cafe, heading out for dinner, or choosing to shop with a local retailer, those everyday decisions make a real difference to the people behind these businesses and the local jobs they support."
