The two that got away

Police are appealing for public assistance following a theft in Wangaratta last month, Victoria Police say.

Investigators have been told two men entered a camping and fishing store on Rowan Street about 5pm on 19 January.

Once inside the store the men have removed a Daiwa Exceler 100PA reel from a rod and then left the store without paying.

Officers have released CCTV and images of two men they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.

The men are both believe to be in their 30s and one of the men had a tattoo on his left forearm.
