Theft and deceptions in Aspendale

Police are investigating following the theft of a purse and the subsequent use of a stolen credit in Aspendale in March, Victoria Police say.

Investigators have been told that a woman noticed her purse was missing after getting off a train at Aspendale on Monday 27 March.

Later that day, between 5.30-7pm, a credit card, taken from the purse, was used at a seven businesses in and around the Aspendale area to purchase cigarettes, food, alcohol and tattslotto tickets.

Police have released CCTV footage and images of a woman they believe can assist them with their enquiries.

Police urge anyone with information about the theft and deceptions to contact Crime Stoppers.
