Theft at Eltham business

Police are investigating a theft at a mechanic business in Eltham last month.

Investigators have been told man walked into the Brisbane Street business at 4.20pm on 30 June.

He waited in the foyer for approximately 5 minutes then went behind the counter and stole a quantity of cash which he placed down his pants and left on foot.

The man is described as aged in his late 30s to early 40s, average to large build and unshaven with a short beard and moustache.

He was wearing a navy-blue polo top with white patches, black pants, white runners, and a pair of black sunglasses on his head.

Police have released images of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquires.
