Theft from train at Footscray Railway Station

Police from the Transit Safety Division are investigating a theft from a train in Footscray last month.

Investigators believe a woman got off a V/Line train at Footscray train station after stealing the victim's suitcase from the train about 9pm on 8 January.

Police have released images of a woman who may be able to assist with their enquiries.

The woman is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance and aged between 30 to 40-years-old.

She has a solid build with long black hair and was wearing a black top with gold insignia, a black hooded jacket and black pants.
