Thief uses stolen credit card across Melbourne

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man believed to be involved in a theft leading to multiple deceptions across Melbourne last month, Victoria Police say.

Between 18 November and 21 November the male offender has allegedly used a stolen credit card in Braybrook, Laverton North, Maidstone, St Albans, South Yarra, Williamstown and Prahran.

It is believed the man made at least 20 transactions to purchase alcohol, cigarettes and a taxi fare from Melbourne CBD to South Yarra on 18 November.

The total cost of transactions were in excess of $800.

The man is perceived to be of Caucasian or southern European appearance, short dark hair with a goatee and moustache.

He was wearing a grey t-shirt with writing on the front.

The male is believed to be driving a dark coloured Commodore.

Police have released images of the man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers.
