Thieves use stolen credit card in Werribee

Police are appealing for public assistance to identify two thieves who used a stolen credit card at numerous locations across Melbourne last month, Victoria Police say.

It is believed two males located a lost credit card at a shopping centre on the corner of Derrimut and Heaths roads in Werribee.

The victim’s credit card was then used to purchase goods including lottery tickets and cigarettes at a number of businesses in the Footscray, Kensington, Flemington and Yarra City areas on 16 November.

In total, about $1200 was spent on the day.

Police have released images of two men who they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

Anyone with any information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
