Third person charged after investigations into bottle shop robbery at Lake Macquarie

Two men and a woman have now been charged following investigations into the armed robbery of a bottle shop in Blackalls Park in 2016.

About 6.20pm on Wednesday 28 December 2016, a man allegedly armed with a knife entered a bottle shop on South Parade and threatened a male shop attendant.

The armed man allegedly stole an amount of cash before running from the store.

Detectives from Lake Macquarie commenced investigations that have culminated in the arrest and charging of three people.

  • On Monday 15 April 2019, a woman attended Belmont Police Station where she was arrested and charged with robbery whilst armed with offensive weapon; being that of a principal in the 2nd degree.
  • On Thursday 2 May 2019, a man was arrested on Main Road, Glendale and charged with robbery whilst armed with offensive weapon; being that of principal in the 2nd degree
  • Today, Monday 8 July 2019, a man was charged at Kempsey Police Station with robbery whilst armed with an offensive weapon. He was refused bail and will appear in Newcastle Local Court on Wednesday 24 July 2019.
