Third Person Charged Over Stabbing At Broken Hill

A man will face court today over an alleged stabbing in the state's west last week.

Just after 11.15am on Thursday 18 September 2025, emergency services were called to Thomas Lane, Broken Hill, following reports of a man was stabbed.

Officers attached to Barrier Police District attended the scene and located a 47-year-old man with alleged stab wounds to his torso.

He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to a hospital in a stable condition.

A crime scene was established, and police commenced an investigation into the incident.

Following inquiries, police have since arrested and charged two people – a 36-year-old woman and a 31-year-old man – in Broken Hill area on the same day. They remain before the court.

Following further inquiries, about 11am yesterday (Wednesday 24 September 2025), police arrested a 23-year-old man at a home on Nicholls Street, Broken Hill.

He was taken to Broken Hill Police Station where he was charged with wound person intend to cause grievous bodily harm.

He was refused bail to appear at Bail Division Court 4 today (Thursday 25 September 2025).
