Three arrested after fight in Sydney CBD

Two men and one woman have been arrested following a brawl in Sydney’s CBD this morning, NSW Police say.

Police from Sydney City Local Area Command were called to Pitt Street about 4am tomorrow responding to two separate assaults.

Police arrived to find a brawl had also broken out outside a convenience store with more than 20 men and woman fighting.

Police used OC spray to disperse the crowd, which had spilled onto the roadway.

Two men, aged 18 and 29, and a woman, aged 19, were taken into custody at the scene. The rest of the crowd were directed to move on from the vicinity.

The men were taken to Day Street Police Station, while the woman was taken to Surry Hills Police Station; the younger man and woman have been released pending further inquiries.

A 19-year-old woman was treated at the scene for the effects of OC spray before being taken to St Vincent’s Hospital for assessment.

Inquiries are continuing and police are now speaking with multiple witnesses.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
