Three arrested at domestic incident in Windsor Gardens, SA

Three people were arrested after police were called to a domestic incident at Windsor Gardens overnight, according to SA Police.

Police were called to the disturbance at 11pm on Sunday 24 December. A neighbour had tried to intervene and was allegedly threatened with a baseball bat.

When officers tried to enter the house to arrest the suspect, they were allegedly blocked from entering by a woman and a young man. They were both arrested.

The suspect locked himself inside and refused to come out. Police called in further resources, including STAR Group and negotiators, and the man was arrested without further incident.

The 34-year-old Windsor Gardens man was charged with two counts of aggravated assault and breach of intervention order. He was refused police bail and is expected to face court on Wednesday.

The 31-year-old woman and an 18-year-old man, both from Windsor Gardens, were both arrested and charged with hinder police. They were bailed to appear in court on 2 February.
