Three men are in custody, and two firearms have been recovered after a pursuit in Sydney's west.
About 2.25pm today (Saturday 11 April 2026), officers from Strike Force Raptor attempted to stop a stolen white Audi along the Great Western Highway, Wentworthville.
When the vehicle failed to stop, a pursuit was initiated.
During the pursuit the occupants of the vehicle were seen throwing fuel jerry cans from the vehicle onto the M4 Motorway, Silverwater.
The vehicle was rammed by police along Hill Road, Lidcombe, where the three men ran from the vehicle.
With the assistance of PolAir and the Dog Squad, officers arrested all three men after a foot pursuit. They were taken to Auburn Police Station, where inquiries are ongoing.
Police allegedly located a semi-automatic rifle and a pistol inside the vehicle.
The firearms, and the vehicle, were seized for forensic examination.
There are no reports of any injuries.
