Three arrested following armed robbery in Bankstown

Three men have been arrested following an armed robbery at Bankstown today, NSW Police say.

Just before 3.30pm today, two men entered a pharmacy on Rookwood Road armed with a firearm.

The men threatened staff and demanded money before fleeing with a small sum of cash.

They fled the area in a gold Mazda which was being driven by another man.

Police were alerted and officers from Bankstown Local Area Command attended and commenced inquiries.

A short time later, officers spotted the car in a car park on West Terrace and arrested three men.

They are currently assisting with inquiries at Bankstown Police Station.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stopers.
