Three arrested following pursuit in south east

Police have arrested three men following a pursuit in Melbourne’s south east early this morning (27 December)., Victoria Police say

Investigators were initially called to Pascal Road, Seaford, following reports of a suspicious loiter about 12.10am.

While conducting a patrol of the area, police attempted to intercept a white Toyota Hiace van.

The van refused to stop for police and sped off.

Police monitored the van until a pursuit was initiated on the Princes Freeway in Officer.

The van was dumped in Laurina Link, Pakenham about 1.30am where three men attempted to flee on foot.

All three were arrested with the assistance of a police canine.

A 26-year-old man and a 29-year-old man, both from Cranbourne West, remain in custody assisting police with their enquiries.

A 29-year-old man of no fixed address was taken to hospital with an arm injury after receiving a dog bite.

The investigation is ongoing, anyone who witnessed the vehicle on the Princes Freeway this morning is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
