Police have arrested three people for drug trafficking following a traffic stop at Prospect early this morning, according to SA Police.
Just after 4am on Thursday 19 July, police stopped a Holden sedan which was towing another car on Churchill Road. The car under tow had unassigned plates and subsequent checks revealed that it was unregistered and uninsured.
Police spoke to a man and woman in the Holden sedan and allegedly located a Taser and an amount of methamphetamine in the woman’s bag. A further search of the car uncovered amphetamine hidden inside a guitar.
A 19-year-old woman from Salisbury East was charged with trafficking a controlled drug and carrying a dangerous article. A 51-year-old man from Salisbury North was charged with trafficking a controlled drug.
A 39-year-old man from Parafield Gardens (driver of the car under tow) was charged with trafficking a controlled drug and a number of traffic offences.
All three did not apply for bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court today.
