Three arrested in Guildford

Three people have been arrested after an incident in Sydney’s wets, NSW Police say.

About 4.45pm today, police were patrolling Excelsior Street, Guildford, when they came across a man blocking the street.

Officers spoke to the man, who allegedly became aggressive. About 30 people attending a function at a nearby residence then attended and also became aggressive towards officers.

Police called for further assistance, and numerous police resources attended.

Three men were arrested, and they have been taken to Parramatta Police Station where they are assisting with inquiries.

No police were seriously injured during the incident.

Police remain on scene speaking to witnesses.
