Maribyrnong Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged three teenagers following an armed robbery in Maidstone on Monday night.
Two teens were arrested yesterday in West Footscray after a reported theft from a motor vehicle about 10.15am. A third teen was arrested at a residence in West Footscray at 11.50am.
Their arrests follow an armed robbery in Maidstone where a taxi driver was allegedly threatened with a knife and assaulted after picking up two teens in Yarraville about 9.30pm.
A 16-year-old West Footscray boy has received 12 charges including armed robbery and robbery.
A 16-year-old Braybrook boy has received 17 charges including armed robbery, theft from a motor vehicle and deceptions.
A 17-year-old Maidstone boy has received 11 charges including theft from a motor vehicle and deceptions.
All three were issued with multiple penalty infringement notices for breaching Chief Health Officer's directions.
The trio was remanded in custody overnight to appear at a children's court this morning.
