Three charged after Southern Highlands hotel break-ins, NSW

Three men faced court today after break ins at Southern Highlands hotels earlier this month, NSW Police say.

It will be alleged the break ins occurred at hotels in Bundanoon and Milton Park on 15 and 21 July 2018. It will be alleged that cash and personal items were stolen on each occasion.

At 2am on Monday 23 July 2018, a white Holden station wagon was stopped by police near the intersection of King Street and Northcliffe Drive, Warrawong

The vehicle was searched and a number of items, allegedly stolen during the hotel break ins were located.

The three men in the vehicle were arrested.

A 25-year-old man was charged with break and enter offences relating to the Mjilton Park break in.

A 35-year-old man was charged with break and enter offences in relation to the Bundanoon break in.

A 33-year-old man was charged with dealing in the proceeds of crime.

All three were refused bail at Wollongong Local Court today (Tuesday 24 July 2018).

The 35-year-old and the 25-year-old were refused bail and will be remanded in custody until reappearing at Wollongong Local Court on 19 September.

The 33-year-old man was granted conditional bail and will also reappear in Wollongong Local Court in September.
