Three charged over drug offences in Redfern

Three people have been charged over alleged drug offences within the Redfern area, after being arrested yesterday, NSW Police say.

Officers from Redfern Local Area Command have been investigating alleged illicit drug supply in the Redfern area, including heroin, GBL and Ice.

Following inquiries, about 4.10pm yesterday today, two men and a woman were arrested at a hardware store on Gardeners Road, Alexandria.

The trio was taken to Redfern Police Station.

Further investigations led police to execute three search warrants at homes in Yagoona and Hinchinbrook; and a unit at Redfern; where rare coins, GBL, MDMA pills and shot gun shells; Ice MDMA and heroin; and MDMA and GBL were located respectively.

One of the men, 52, was charged with supply large commercial quantity of prohibited drug, three counts of supply commercial quantity of prohibited drug, five counts of supply prohibited drug, and ongoing supply of prohibited drug.

He was refused bail and will appear at Central Local Court today tomorrow.

The second man, 35, was charged with knowingly take part in the supply of prohibited drug and granted conditional bail, to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on 12 September 2016.

The woman, 49, was charged with three counts of supply commercial quantity of prohibited drug, and five counts of supply prohibited drug.

She was refused bail and will appear at Central Local Court today tomorrow.
