Three charged with supplying prohibited drugs following dance party, NSW

Three people have been charged with drug supply after they were located allegedly carrying illicit drugs at a dance party in Moore Park on the weekend, NSW Police say.

Between 7.30pm and 2am (Saturday 23 July – Sunday 24 July 2016), officers attached to Surry Hills Local Area Command and the NSW Police Dog Unit conducted a drug operation at the ‘Psychology’ Trance Party within the Entertainment Quarter.

Of the 400 people who attended, the operation resulted in:

- A 22-year-old man was allegedly in possession of 272 capsules of MDMA. He was charged with supply prohibited drug (indictable quantity) and refused bail, to appear at Central Local Court on Tuesday 26 July 2016.

- A second 22-year-old man was allegedly in possession of 42 tablets believed to be LSD and 15 capsules believed to be MDMA. He was charged with possess prohibited drug, and two counts of supply prohibited drug (indictable quantity), and granted conditional bail, to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on 18 August 2016.

- A third 22-year-old man was allegedly in possession of LSD and MDMA. He was charged with two counts of supply prohibited drug and granted conditional bail, to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on 18 August 2016.

An additional 18 people were arrested for alleged drug possession matters, with six issued cautions for cannabis possession.

Two people were also charged with assault/fail to quit licensed premises.
