Kiama Council will temporarily close Jamberoo Mountain Road to all traffic for three days, from Monday 13 October to Wednesday 15 October 2025, to carry out emergency pavement repairs between Misty Lane and Barren Grounds.

The road will be closed daily from 9am to 4pm during this period. Outside of these hours, Jamberoo Mountain Road will remain open to traffic. Traffic control measures will be in place to ensure safety for workers and road users.

Alternative routes such as Macquarie Pass, Kangaroo Valley and Picton Road are recommended during the closure.

The essential works are part of ongoing improvements funded through the NSW Government's Infrastructure Betterment Fund, aimed at restoring and strengthening infrastructure impacted by recent severe weather events.

Motorists are reminded that heavy vehicles, including trucks, buses and caravans, are not permitted on Jamberoo Mountain Road at any time.

Kiama Council thanks the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development for its funding support through the NSW Betterment Program – Infrastructure Betterment Fund (IBF). Council also acknowledges the Office of Local Government for its support via the NSW Severe Weather and Flood Grant.
