Three people have died following an incident on a rural property in the state’s Southern Tablelands this evening, NSW Police say.
About 6.20pm today, emergency services were called to a property on Veterans Road, Gunning, after a man collapsed while working in an empty in ground cement water tank.
Police have been told a second man and a woman went to his assistance and also collapsed.
A neighbour contacted emergency services; however, the bodies of two men and a woman, all believed to be aged in their 60s, were located deceased inside the water tank.
Officers from The Hume Local Area Command established a crime scene which will be examined by forensic officers.
The deaths are not being treated as suspicious.
A brief will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
