Three in critical condition following single-vehicle crash near Deniliquin, NSW

Three people are in a critical condition after a single-vehicle crash in the state’s south this morning, NSW Police say.

About 7.40am today (Tuesday 30 October 2018), officers from Murray River Police District were called to a single-vehicle crash on Merriginnie Road, Burraboi.

Police have been told a vehicle was travelling west on Merriginnie Road when it left the road and rolled.

The driver – a 32-year-old woman was trapped, while her two passengers – boys aged nine and 12 were ejected from the vehicle.

The woman was extricated and taken to Deniliquin Hospital.

The younger boy was taken to Deniliquin Hospital, and police have been told the older boy was flown to a children’s hospital in Melbourne.

All three are in a critical condition.

Police are investigating whether the occupants were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash, and whether speed was a factor.
