Three injured in neighbour dispute in Lurnea

Two men have been charged and investigations are continuing following a neighbour dispute at Lurnea overnight in which three men were injured, NSW Police say.

Police have been told there were a number of arguments between the residents of two properties in Wheeler Avenue, Lurnea, from about 11pm (Friday 22 December 2017).

About 12.20am (Saturday 23 December 2017) it is believed a didgeridoo was used to smash a window before a number of men began physically fighting.

Officers from Liverpool Local Area Command were called to the scene.

Police were told two men suffered wounds to their hands from a knife and that another man suffered a facial injury. They were taken to hospital for treatment.

A knife, didgeridoo and shovel were seized at the scene.

Two men, aged 44 and 55, were arrested and taken to Liverpool Police Station.

Both were charged with affray, with the younger man also charged with malicious damage, and were granted bail to appear at Liverpool Local Court on Wednesday 24 January 2018.

Investigations are continuing and police anticipate further charges will be laid.
