Three injured in Port Pirie house fire, SA

Fire cause investigators are attending a house fire at Port Pirie West this morning that injured three people, according to SA Police.

The alarm was raised just before 6.30am on Thursday 2 February and emergency services raced to the scene of a house fire in Taylor Court, Port Pirie West.

The house was well alight on arrival. A woman and two young children sustained burns in the fire.

The woman and one child were taken to the Port Pirie Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The other child is currently being airlifted to Adelaide for serious injuries.

The fire was extinguished by fire crews. It was contained to the one house, but caused extensive damage.

Police are investigating the cause of the fire, which has not been determined. Fire cause investigators are attending from Adelaide.
