Three more men charged with drug supply as part of Operation Northrop, NSW

Three more men will face court later this month on drug supply charges as part of Operation Northrop, NSW Police say.

Strike Force Northrop was established in September 2017 by detectives attached to Redfern Region Enforcement Squad to target the ongoing supply of cocaine within the Central Metropolitan Region.

In November 2017, more than 36 people were arrested with search warrants executed at various locations across Sydney, where police allegedly located and seized cocaine, MDMA, steroids, cars, more than $120000 in cash, mobile phones, two firearms and ammunition.

Just after 11am on Friday 1 December 2017, Redfern RES attended a business on Bligh Street, Sydney, and arrested three men, who were all taken to Day Street Police Station.

Following inquiries, officers executed search warrants at Double Bay and Sydney, and allegedly located cocaine, more than $20000 in cash, high-end watches, prescription medication, financial documents and electronic devices.

A 41-year-old man was charged with supply prohibited drug on an on-going basis, supply prohibited drug greater than commercial quantity and, two counts of knowingly deal with proceeds of crime.

He was refused bail and appeared at Parramatta Bail Court on Saturday 2 December 2017 and is due to reappear at Central Local Court on Tuesday 5 December 2017.

A 28-year-old man was charged with supply prohibited drug on an on-going basis, supply prohibited drug greater than commercial quantity, supply prohibited drug greater than indictable quantity and knowingly deal with proceeds of crime.

He was refused bail and appeared at Parramatta Bail Court on Saturday 2 December 2017 and is due to reappear at Central Local Court on Wednesday 6 December 2017.

A 32-year-old man was charged with two counts of supply prohibited drug and take part in the supply of prohibited drug greater than small quantity.

He was granted conditional bail and is due to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on Wednesday 20 December 2017.
