Three teens arrested following pursuit between Chatswood and The Rocks, NSW

Three teens were arrested after leading police on pursuits through Chatswood and The Rocks last night, NSW Police say.

About 11.30pm yesterday, police observed a black Mercedes on the Pacific Highway at Chatswood, and attempted to stop the vehicle for the purpose of a random breath test.

The driver accelerated and a pursuit was initiated, however it was terminated a short time later.

The vehicle was then allegedly involved in a minor collision at the intersection of Grosvenor Street and Long Street, The Rocks, before being pursued again by police.

The pursuit continued through a number of streets, before the vehicle came to a stop on Park Parade, Bondi Beach.

The three occupants, one male and two female, exited the vehicle and attempted to flee the scene but were arrested and taken to Waverley Police Station.

The 18-year-old man was charged with Skye’s Law, mid range PCA, take and drive conveyance, drive whilst unlicensed and breach of bail.

He was refused bail and appeared before Parramatta Local Court today.

The other occupants, two girls aged 13 and 14, were released pending further inquiries.
