Three Teens Arrested Under Strike Force Falcon

Three teenagers have been charged following a pursuit in Sydney's west overnight.

About 10.20pm on Saturday 30 August 2025, police attached to Cumberland Police Area Command were conducting proactive patrols around the Guildford West area when they attempted to stop a vehicle on McCredie Road, Guildford West.

Police will allege upon seeing police, the driver of the vehicle increased speed and tried to leave the scene.

Police attempted to stop the vehicle; however, when the driver allegedly failed to stop as directed a pursuit was initiated.

The pursuit continued through local streets of Merrylands, Guildford West and Wentworthville before vehicle stopped on Lane Street, Wentworthville.

The occupants allegedly ran from the vehicle running into a nearby stormwater canal.

With the assistance of the Dog Squad, three teenage boys – two aged 14 and one aged 17 – were arrested nearby.

Police searched the vehicle and allegedly located and seized a machete, knife, jerry can of fuel and mobile phones.

They were taken to Granville Police Station and charged with be carried in conveyance taken without consent of owner, face blackened/disguised with intent commit indictable offence, armed with intent commit indictable offence, hinder or resist police officer in the execution of duty and participating in a criminal group.

They were refused bail and will appear before a Childrens Court today (Monday 1 September 2025.)

Police will allege the vehicle was stolen from an address in Victoria in August.
