Three teens charged after man robbed- Campsie, NSW

Three teenagers will appear in court today after they were charged with allegedly robbing a man at Campsie yesterday, NSW Police say.

About 12.40pm today, a 54-year-old man was out the front of his house in Duke Street when he was allegedly struck to the head and repeatedly punched and kicked by two people clad in balaclavas.

During the assault it is further alleged the man’s wallet and phone were stolen.

The teens left the scene and were followed to Campsie Railway Station by the injured man and his brother.

The man was able to contact police and the teens, who were with two other males, were arrested and taken to Campsie Police Station.

A 15-year-old boy and two others aged 16, were charged with robbery in company. The fourth male was released without being charged.

The three males will appear in a children’s court tomorrow.

The injured man was taken to St George Hospital and suffered a fractured wrist and bruising and lacerations to his body and lip.
