Three teens charged over sexual assault in Prospect

Three teens will appear in court today after allegedly sexually assaulting an 18-year-old woman in Prospect at the weekend, NSW Police say.

About 9pm on Saturday 31 December 2016, an 18-year-old woman attended a party at a unit on Myrtle Street with two friends.

Police will allege between 10pm and midnight, three teenage boys – one aged 17 and two aged 18 – sexually assaulted the woman in one of the bedrooms of the unit.

Officers from Blacktown Local Area Command were contacted today, by concerned friends.

A crime scene was established and investigations into the incident commenced.

Following inquiries, the two 18-year-old men were arrested at the unit and taken to Blacktown Police Station. The younger teen attended the same station a short time later.

The trio has been charged with three counts of aggravated sexual assault each and refused bail.

The older men will appear at Parramatta Local Court tomorrow.

The youth will appear at a children’s court tomorrow.

The woman was taken to hospital and has since been released.

Inquiries are continuing.
