Three vehicle traffic crash in Lutwyche, QLD

The Forensic Crash Unit is appealing for public assistance as they investigate a three vehicle crash in Lutwyche this afternoon which resulted in one car bursting into flames, Queensland Police say.

Initial information suggests at 3.10pm, three cars crashed on Lutwyche Road near the Norman Street intersection.

Four occupants of one vehicle including the 45-year-old male driver, 34-year-old woman, a boy and a girl were taken to hospital with minor soft tissue injuries.

Three people in the second vehicle including the 23-year-old male driver, a 21-year-old man and a third male were taken to hospital with minor injuries after the car burst into flames and was subsequently destroyed.

The driver and sole occupant of the third vehicle, a 54-year-old woman, did not sustain any physical injuries.

The FCU is appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash or who has dashcam footage to contact police.

Investigations are continuing.
